Monday night: Greenville, SC

The hospitality of the folks at Northampton Wines in Greenville is always wonderful Thanks, David and Richard). This was the fourth or fifth event we’ve done together, and it was sold out.
I saw some old acquaintances and (I think) made some new friends while answering questions that ranged from where exactly our vineyards are (Wild Winds in the South Salem hills, 50 miles south of Portland; and Walnut Ridge at the south end of the Willamette Valley headed up into the coast range foothills) to how long certain wines might last (harder to answer, but 2 to 6 years for most whites and 5 to 15 years for most pinot noirs).
I was curious once again about who preferred which of our premium 2008 pinot noirs in current release (2008 Wild Winds and 2008 Walnut Ridge), so, in the true American way, I had them vote. It was about evenly split.
